Join us for dinner and dessert, conversations with Vermont early childhood partners including First Children’s Finance, Northern Lights at CCV, and Child Development Division, and opportunities to network with new and tenured family child care program owners across southern Vermont. After a short presentation from VTAEYC on available early childhood career support and advancement programs, we will hear from Karen Gross, former Southern Vermont College President and trauma-responsive author, artist, and educator as she engages us (in costume!) on Reading To, With, and By Children using Trauma-Responsive Strategies. Karen will use her children’s book series, Lady Lucy’s Quest for demonstrations of trauma-responsive approaches. Fun & inspiring gifts from Karen will be presented to all attendees, and a few of her books will be raffled off to a few lucky winners!
