CLASS in Three Acts: Learn, Practice, Reflect, Part 1 & 2 (Pre-K)

Join us for this two part training series on Introduction to CLASS for Educators.

CLASS in Three Acts: Learn, Practice, Reflect

This engaging virtual 1+1+1 series is designed for Pre-K educators who are new to the CLASS® (Classroom Assessment Scoring System®) tool—an evidence-based framework that supports high-quality teacher-child interactions and plays an important role in Vermont’s QRIS (STARS).

In the first session, participants will explore the CLASS® domains and dimensions, watch classroom videos, and identify interaction strategies together. Educators will then return to their programs to observe or try out a selected strategy. In the following sessions, they’ll bring back reflections, share insights, and deepen their understanding of how CLASS® supports everyday practice.

  • Session 1 (Sept. 9): Get grounded in the basics of the CLASS framework and why it matters.
  • Practice: Apply what you’ve learned through a short observation activity.
  • Session 2 (Sept. 23): Reflect on your experience, deepen your understanding, and discuss next steps.

This training provides a welcoming entry point to CLASS and is ideal for early educators looking to strengthen adult-child interactions and support quality improvement in their programs.
