The Effects of Trauma and Stress on the Developing Brain

The Effects of Trauma and Stress on the Developing Brain

Each year, millions of young children experience trauma or live in highly stressful environments—experiences that can have lasting effects on brain development. In this session, Scott will explore how stress impacts children and how supportive, understanding caregivers can make a powerful difference. By looking at both typical and atypical brain development, participants will learn therapeutic strategies and caregiving behaviors that help reduce stress, foster resilience, and support healthy growth.
