Join VTAEYC and RIVET for a unique professional development experience centered around Mosaic of Marks, Words, Material, an internationally renowned exhibition from Reggio Emilia that explores how children communicate, create meaning, and express their understanding of the world through drawing, mark making, storytelling, and materials.
Participants will engage in a guided exploration of the exhibition and atelier, followed by hands on experiences with mark making tools and materials designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and reflection. Together, we will consider how children use marks, words, and materials to communicate ideas, construct knowledge, and make their thinking visible.
To support meaningful dialogue and connections among participants, four sessions have been designed for different early childhood educator audiences. Participants should register for the session that best matches their role and schedule:
