Burlington, Vt: The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) invites nominations for Vermont’s 2025 Early Childhood Educator of the Year. The nomination form is available at vtaeyc.org/eceoy.
The prestigious annual award honors exceptional early childhood educators and spotlights the importance of high-quality early childhood education for Vermont’s children, families, and communities. Presented by VTAEYC and sponsored by Let’s Grow Kids, the 2025 award comes with a $2,500 cash prize and all expenses paid to a National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) conference.
To be eligible, nominees must:
- 
Work in a regulated center, family child care home, or school-based program 
- 
Educate children ages 0-8 
- 
Have at least three years of experience as an early childhood educator 
Employees of VTAEYC and Let’s Grow Kids, as well as previous winners, are ineligible to win.
“Across Vermont, early childhood educators are shaping the future with their passion, dedication, and enthusiasm,” said VTAEYC Executive Director Sharron Harrington. “We are proud to celebrate the incredible talent in our field and invite families, colleagues, and community members to recognize these exceptional professionals by nominating them for Early Childhood Educator of the Year.”
The Early Childhood Educator of the Year award will be presented at VTAEYC’s Annual Conference, held this year in Burlington on October 22, 23, and 24.
VTAEYC presents five additional annual awards to early childhood educators and advocates: Early Childhood Education Student of the Year, Children’s Champion, Distinguished Service, Emerging Leader, and Outstanding Member. More information is available at vtaeyc.org/annual-awards.
