Courage to Care Rally

Courage to Care Rally and S.56 Update

On April 12, more than 700 early childhood educators and supporters convened at the Statehouse to urge lawmakers to pass the strongest possible bill investing in early childhood education.

Early childhood educators led the rally, with speeches from Su White of Quarry Hill School, Caitlin D’Onofrio of Robin’s Nest, and Ilia Gilligan of Little Sprouts Preschool.

And many early childhood educators have given testimony before Senate and House committees, helping inform lawmakers as they shape and change the bill.

To learn how S.56 has changed since it was introduced, see the most recent briefing from Let’s Grow Kids’ policy team Sarah Kenney and Drake Turner, with connections to the work to advance ECE as a profession from VTAEYC Interim Board President Christina Goodwin.
