Description

This professional development series offers a range of engaging opportunities for early childhood educators to deepen their understanding and use of the CLASS® (Classroom Assessment Scoring System®) tool—an evidence-based framework that supports high-quality teacher-child interactions and plays a key role in Vermont’s QRIS (STARS).

The series includes virtual and in-person sessions tailored to different age groups and experience levels:

  • CLASS® in Three Acts: Learn, Practice, Reflect (Pre-K and Infant/Toddler) – A virtual 1+1+1 format designed for educators new to CLASS®, offering time to learn core concepts, apply strategies in practice, and reflect with peers.
  • Facilitated Exploration & Language Modeling: Deepening Infant-Toddler Engagement – An intermediate/advanced in-person session focused on two key dimensions of the Infant/Toddler CLASS® tool, combining breakfast, peer connection, hands-on practice, and live reflection.

Whether you're just beginning your CLASS® journey or ready to go deeper, this series offers flexible formats and collaborative learning to help you bring CLASS® to life in your everyday work.
