Stephanie comes from a military family, is originally from Southern California, and has lived in Southern Vermont for over 15 years. She has 18-year-old twin girls and several nieces and nephews that are a big part of her daily life. She double majored in elementary education and special education and is currently finishing a degree in early childhood education and has a certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder. She often views work and opportunities through special education and social justice and equity lenses. Additionally, Stephanie was a fellow for ELDX (now VTAEYC Exchange) for Social Justice and Equity, does community outreach for Migrant Justice, is a VECAA member, and is active on her local Let’s Grow Kids Action Team.
