VTAEYC is following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and will abide by the legal mandates of the State of Vermont and the requirements of the Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain at the time of the 2022 VTAEYC Annual Conference.
Due to the recent CDC guidance update, VTAEYC will no longer require proof of vaccination, negative COVID-19 tests, or masking in order to attend.
However, all participants are STRONGLY encouraged to (1) stay “up to date” with their COVID-19 vaccinations including any boosters, and (2) obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test or rapid antigen test prior to attending the Event.
By attending, participants accept responsibility to act in the best interests of their health, the health of others who attend, and the communities to which they will return after the conference. We ask that all attendees respect others and their personal choices with respect to wearing a mask. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
As such, participants will:
- Follow the CDC guidance, “Isolation and Precautions for People with (or exposed to) COVID-19,” found at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/isolation.html
- Not participate with COVID-19 symptoms
- Depart the Event if COVID-19 symptoms develop
The Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain is taking additional measures to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. They provide thorough, daily cleaning of our public areas and Lysol Stations are available with sanitizing wipes in the public areas. For guests staying at the hotel, housekeeping is tailored to the guest’s comfort and available upon request and guests may join Hilton Honors for a contactless arrival. The app allows you to check-in, choose your room, and unlock your door with a digital key.
VTAEYC will continue to monitor and update safety precautions for the conference and coordinate with trusted national resources, state and local public health agencies, and the venue. VTAEYC reserves the right to modify these policies and procedures at any time.
