SUMMARY:Preschool Network: Creating Felt Safety with the Four Priorities of Trauma-Informed Education
DESCRIPTION:Let’s talk about how to build safety and care in the classroom by dialing in the four priorities of trauma-informed practices. In this workshop\, we’ll first explore what trauma is and how to recognize it (and when we might not). You’ll learn about how predictability\, flexibility\, connection\, and empowerment come together to create felt safety. We’ll talk about how each of the four priorities addresses a core need for trauma-affected students (and teachers\, too). And we’ll unpack some of the complexities\, like how we hold predictability and flexibility together. \nThis is a Preschool Network Training. If you are interested in joining the Preschool Network\, please select the appropriate option within the question: “Are you a member of the Preschool Network?” \nDates & Times: April 14\, 2026\, 6:00PM-7:30PM \nTrainer:  Alex Shevrin Venet \nLocation: Zoom \nClick Here to Register

SUMMARY:NAEYC Quality Assessment & Accreditation System Community of Practice - Recognition Tier (Daytime)
DESCRIPTION:NAEYC Accreditation has long set the national standard for high-quality early learning programs. Accreditation signals to families\, educators\, and policymakers that a program prioritizes high-quality learning experiences and continuous improvement.\nNAEYC has redesigned its Quality Assessment & Accreditation System to better support early learning programs on their path to high-quality early education. The Early Learning Program Quality Assessment and Accreditation System now offers a more inclusive\, flexible\, and streamlined model that reflects the realities of today’s early learning landscape. This new system is more accessible to all program types and aligned with best practices.\nPrograms who are interested in diving into the updated NAEYC program standards and aligning their program policies and procedures are invited to join this Community of Practice. Together we will walk through the steps to preparing a NAEYC Recognized application\, the first tier in the new Quality Assessment & Accreditation System. By the end of this CoP\, programs will have a grounded understanding of the baseline value of NAEYC program standards and how building a foundation of quality is essential for high-quality early learning experiences and environments. \nDates & Times: Tuesday\, April 21\, 2026\, 1:00PM-2:30PM \nTuesday\, May 19\, 2026\, 1:00PM-2:30PM \nTuesday\, June 16\, 2026\, 1:00PM-2:30PM \nTuesday\, July 14\, 2026\, 1:00PM-2:30PM \nTrainer:  Julie Buechler \nLocation: Zoom \nClick Here to Register

SUMMARY:Burlington South Network: Temperament-Focused Approaches to Challenging Behavior
DESCRIPTION:Each of us has a unique\, innate style that informs how we see and interact with the world. Understanding these differences can give us insight into behaviors we find challenging in others. This training will offer a framework for understanding what drives behavior and how adults can use this insight to support all children in a diverse classroom. We will learn about different temperament types and identify the strengths and challenges of each. Participants will learn practical strategies for observing temperament\, adapting environments\, and responding to challenging behaviors in ways that honor each child’s individual differences. We will also reflect on how our own temperament impacts our approach and discuss strategies for increasing the “goodness of fit” in our relationships. \nThis is a Burlington South Network Training. If you are interested in joining the Burlington South Network\, please select the appropriate option within the question: “Are you a member of the Burlington South Network?” \nDate & Time: April 29\, 2026\, 6:00PM-8:00PM \nTrainers: Aricha Drury \nLocation: Zoom \nClick Here to Register
