SUMMARY:Central VT ECE Networking Event
DESCRIPTION:Connection is essential for early childhood educators. Resilience is not something we build alone\, but something that grows through relationships\, shared experiences\, and the support we offer one another along the way. Even in the midst of a challenging day\, joy can be found\, in laughter\, in small moments of connection\, and in the collective energy of people coming together with purpose. Rooted in the Strengthening Families framework\, this free professional development gathering offers time to build meaningful social connections and recharge alongside peers.\nJoin us for an evening of connection and learning with fellow early childhood educators in a supportive and collaborative space. There will be food\, a take‑home craft\, and other meaningful offerings to support your work and wellbeing. We’re thrilled to welcome April Zajko\, a nature‑based Early Childhood Educator\, who will share thoughtful reflections and inspiration. Participants will leave with practical ways to deepen relationships\, access support\, and contribute to communities where connection\, resilience\, and joy are shared and sustained. \nLight refreshments will be provided. \nClick here to view the networking event flyer \nDate & Time: May 1\, 2026\, 6:00PM-8:00PM \nTrainers:  Arianna Van Houten\, April Zajko \nLocation: Barre\, VT \nClick Here to Register

SUMMARY:Addison Network Training: Speech and Language Development for Young Children
DESCRIPTION:This two-hour workshop with a speech-language pathologist (SLP) provides an overview of how speech and language skills develop in young children\, highlighting key milestones from infancy through the early childhood years. Participants will learn how to distinguish typical variations in development from potential red flags\, such as limited vocabulary\, difficulty following directions\, or unclear speech beyond expected ages. The session will also guide educators and caregivers on when and how to seek support\, including who to contact for screenings\, evaluations\, and early intervention services. In addition\, the workshop emphasizes universal\, practical strategies that can be embedded into early childhood classrooms to support all learners\, such as modeling rich language\, expanding children’s utterances\, creating opportunities for meaningful conversation\, and using visual supports and play-based interactions to promote communication skills. \nThis is an Addison Network Training. If you are interested in joining the Addison Network\, please select the appropriate option within the question: “Are you a member of the Addison Network?” \nDate & Time: May 5\, 2026\, 6:00PM-8:00PM \nTrainers:  Sue Rakowski \nLocation: New Haven\, VT \nClick Here to Register

SUMMARY:Lamoille Network: Overcoming Teacher Burnout: Strategies for Change
DESCRIPTION:Early childhood educators do some of the most meaningful work in our communities but the emotional intensity\, long hours\, and constant demands can lead even the most passionate professionals to feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Through reflection\, discussion\, and real-life examples from the field\, participants will examine the personal and systemic factors that contribute to burnout. Together\, we’ll explore strategies that help educators reconnect with what first inspired them to work with young children while building habits and supports that sustain well-being over time. \nThis is a Lamoille Network Training. If you are interested in joining the Lamoille Network\, please select the appropriate option within the question: “Are you a member of the Lamoille Network?” \nDate & Time: May 7\, 2026\, 6:00PM-8:00PM \nTrainers: Ellen Drolette \nLocation: Hyde Park\, VT \nClick Here to Register
